Smoothies are a fun and exciting way to get your children eating one of their five a day. It is an opportunity for them to join in and get creative: they can choose the fruit to mash up and put into their smoothies. Meanwhile the smoothie looks interesting and is brightly coloured.
2. Delicious Sauces
Sauces are an ideal, quick and easy way to blend in vegetables into your children’s meals. Tomato based sauces are probably the quickest and easiest to use, since carrots, peppers, puréed zucchini, along with garlic and onions can hide in the sauce while improving the taste.
3. Wonderful Pizzas
By getting your child, helping you to make the pizza, it will not only be something fun they enjoy doing, but you can also show them how exciting it can be, chopping up the veggies for the topping.
Vegetables such as mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, olives and even carrots are great toppings, not forgetting the famous pineapple!
4. Super Snacks
Make snack time fun by making cucumber, carrot and pepper sticks all of which taste great with hummus!

Mayo isn’t good for children on a daily basis and is an unhealthy option, which is why, you should choose the healthier option of hummus, mustard, salsa or you can even make your own homemade mayo (you could secretly put vegetables in it).

10. Yummy Spaghetti
A classic favourite among most children is Spaghetti Bolognese. Meanwhile it is a great meal to hide plenty of vegetables in!
Use 100% whole grain spaghetti and while you are at it, chop up tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, carrots and peppers to blend into a tomato sauce.
